I became symptomatic for idiopathic torsional dystonia back in 2001 while working on my Ph.D. at the U of Michigan. Even though dystonia can be a constant, nagging pain, life is beautiful and precious. Since being diagnosed, I have experienced both good & bad. I took up cycling even though I have issues walking. In 2015 I married the love of my life. I have decided not to let dystonia DEFINE me; I want to live life…and defy dystonia.
Amos does love going to the park. I've bought a house near Lake Hollingsworth, and Amos loves to go down for a walk near the lake, too, but I have to be careful to keep him from jumping in! I fenced in the backyard for him and Myrtle to play in. Our neighbor has a little chihuahua that Amos likes to run with along the fence.
Amos has grown! Glad he is enjoying his trips to the park! Lyndaoflakeland.blogspot.com
